Regardless of your personal or organizational life stage, and regardless of economic conditions, we all face the same financial planning questions.
What’s the smartest move for future security?
Of course you have many options, in terms of how you want to engage the investment markets: self-directed brokerage accounts, mutual funds, robo-investments, brokers and registered investment advisors.
How you manage your total assets over time is a very important decision. In some sense it’s like deciding whether you build your own house or hire a contractor. Your skill set, time and temperament need to align to master the task.
Forté has only one business. We manage our clients’ financial well-being.
Forté Capital is a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor firm. As such, we are legally required to take fiduciary responsibility for your wealth management.
Some background on these terms:
Registered Investment Advisor (RIA)
Back in the day, the Federal Government officially passed into law the Investment Advisors Act of 1940. Overseen by the SEC, that law defined a Registered Investment Advisor as a “person or firm that, for compensation, is engaged in the act of providing advice, making recommendations, issuing reports or furnishing analyses on securities, either directly or through publications.” Furthermore, the law required RIAs to assume a fiduciary duty to his or her clients, meaning the firm has a fundamental obligation to always act in the clients’ best interests.

2.) Adjective — Involving trust, especially with regard to the relationship between a trustee and a beneficiary.
And the value of our independence?
It means we only have one overarching investment principal: protecting our client interests.
Forté is free to pick among a broad universe of investment opportunities based solely on the needs of our clients.
- We receive no commissions, rebates or other considerations from companies selling their investment securities or funds.
- We do our own research. And, we look at the research of others as we seek the best fit for client portfolios.
- We are large enough to get the attention of market players when we need it.
- We are not beholden to any else’s investment philosophy or market calls.
