A lot of people ask us: What’s the difference between a wealth management firm and an asset management firm?
From our point of view, you are more than just your assets.
A mutual fund company manages assets. They don’t meet you. They don’t talk to you or adapt their portfolios to meet your needs. You’re on your own: simply select a fund and hope for the best.
Forté Capital is a Wealth Management Firm.
We certainly manage your assets. But we do so in the larger context of your life, your aspirations and your long term goals. We get to know you. We learn how you feel about risk. Together, we develop a road map and along the way, we adjust. We take into account the issues that naturally arise where life and money meet—taxes, cash flow planning, real asset management (real estate, for example), retirement and a host of other details. It all influences what we do together to manage your wealth.
We are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and as your investment advisor, we are held to a legal “fiduciary” standard of client care. We must put your interests ahead of those of our firm and all other considerations.
